Feline Stomatitis is also called Lymphocyte Plasmacytic Gingivitis Stomatitis (LPGS). LPGS is a severe condition of the oral cavity in certain cats. These cats create an allergic reaction to the plaque around the teeth of theirs. This result causes extreme inflammation in the junction in which the tooth satisfies the gum line.

CAUSE

The specific cause is unknown. These cats are negative vitamins for my teeth (why not find out more) Feline Leukemia and immunodeficiency Virus and The diet isn’t a factor. Calici Virus has been found but its significance isn’t known. Certain purebreds including Abyssinians, Burmese, Himalayans, Persians, Siamese and Somali are prone.

SYMPTOMS

* Bad breath.

* Difficulty chewing hard food (may just eat soft food).
