I can’t tell you the amount of times throughout the past twenty years that I started out diets, and then fall off the wagon 2 to three days down the line and pile all of the weight back on again! Then last May I’d another go, only this time on the terms of mine, slowly and without depriving myself of everything instantly. The one thing I decided fairly early on, was to make positive I had in the house a number of snacks that would substitute for the biscuits, chocolates and cakes that I’d got into the practice of grazing on. If you’re looking to slim down, these’re my top five recommendations:

1. Raisins as well as nuts. 2. Bananas. Easy to get on the run or even on your way into the office. They’re very filling and also have a low GI, therefore energy is released slowly instead of all in one hit. I made certain that I always had a banana in my bag for a mid-afternoon or mid-morning snack.

3. Porridge. Again, a slow burner, which kept me full from breakfast through till lunch. Add a spoonful of honey and some cinnamon for a truly delicious start on the day.

4. Snack a Jacks. I do not know about you, though I sometimes simply have to have a crisp! I crave the salt along with the crunch factor. Fortunately, these have much less fat then the standard variety of crisp. Throw these into your shopping trolley and you will feel less guilty than if you were eating the whole fat version.

5. Crumpets. Ok, so I am a Brit and I like the crumpets of mine! Did you understand they are very low in fat? Ideal for a saturday mid-afternoon tea whenever the family are digging in their jam and scones – we live in Devon which is renowned alpilean reviews for weight loss – please click the following article – cream teas, so not an easy place to diet in! Put a teaspoon of jam on the most notable (but hardly any butter) and you won’t look so unhappy. Also a good bet when you are craving carbohydrates and want a low calorie alternative to biscuits and cakes.
