As I was going to the gym today to sign up for a workout for myself (1st in almost eight days which took about twelve minutes) I was thinking about a conversation that I’d with one of the new phone clients of mine about exercise and dieting.
Sergio is a truck driver and alpine weight loss (have a peek here) he utilized to be in good shape when younger… but not lately. In assessing his needs and what he is attempting to achieve, Sergio had some fascinating commentary and questions.
Sergio advised that due to his profession and brand new born infant and bride, he is not anymore in the position to reach the gym 3-4 days a week and invest the two hours 1 day necessary to keep fit. He’s on the highway as a new driver and eats fairly well…he says!! Subway as well as Burger King are regular stops & never skips breakfast. He does drink an amazing drink he says, however, which helps him keep his diet balanced and also helps burn excess fat. Sergio does admit it’s not working as well as it might and he needs to loose aproximatelly thirty pounds. Does any of this sound familiar?
Sergio also needed to know what supplements I am utilizing as well as recommend and how many hours one day minimum he will have to train to get back in shape.
Folks, please let’s ponder concerning what was stated here for a second… (Sergio gave me permission to write about this by the way… as long as I changed his name so I did) we’ve a middle aged man, who’s mainly sedentary as a result of his profession, consuming fast food. As he has not utilized his muscle mass it’s atrophied and he’s bought a cure all elixir to take up the slack!
He is mixed up! Most bodybuilders are confused as well as bewildered. They look in muscle magazines and take the original routine they are able to find, buy a full lot of supplements and go at it!! They do not truly know why they move on for just a little bit then simply advancement visits a halt. Many folks quit believing that they simply don’t have what it takes to build muscle when really they may be Olympians and do not know it. It is a personal ritual!
Muscle mass is a stress reaction
Before muscle could be built, it must be stimulated, period! Like a suntan, where you must go out into the hot sun, enough to stimulate the result of that stress, the sun’s rays, so do you with developing muscle.
If you step out for hours and perhaps for the day in the warm August sun, you might burn up or blister. The same thing can be said of muscle.
1. You will never receive a suntan on a cloudy day no matter just how long you keep around and
2. No matter exactly how quite a bit of suntan oil you rub on, it does not matter much if the sun’s intensity isn’t there!
