For virtually all of us, choosing to be healthy is more an exam of will than a single choice. Being “fit” covers a change in the lifestyle of ours much more than just embarking upon the latest exercise or diet program. For me, the selection came aproximatelly 15 years ago. I was aproximatelly 24 years old when buddies of mine convinced me to start heading to the gym as a team. During that time, I knew I didn’t actually like the manner in which I looked, for this reason I thought it would be a great idea. How difficult could it be? Well, it didn’t take long before I knew the answer to that question. And to tell you the simple truth, at that time the workouts of mine were not that difficult. But getting up at 5am being in the gym by 5:30, certainly was, Also, since there were 4 of us and only 1 actually understood what he was working at, the workouts had been Lengthy. Too long when you blend in the water cooler chatter that usually took over some workouts.
So, after trying this method for aproximatelly 3 weeks I still wasn’t motivated nor did I look ahead to working out and was intending to quit. As luck would get it for me, 2 guys in the group beat me to it, leaving simply myself and the only person that knew anything about working out correctly at that time. Which changed all.
With only two of us today, we were considerably more focused and I got some great coaching on the fundamentals.
