“Take the blue pill…take the white pill…?”… remember the series?
“Take the blue pill…take the white pill…?”… remember the line?
These’re the original words uttered… the movie line is taken from The Matrix (1999). The context of the statement is that “Neo” (Keanu Reeves) is dwelling in a world of controlled belief. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), alpilean reviews ebay the captain of the “movement” in the film, is leading young Neo through a wild ride of “reality” vs. belief. Like the film it is the job of mine, as a personal trainer, to guide people with a journey in perception.
Even in “real-life” it seems that we, as depicted in this film, only believe that taking a medicine is able to give us all of the solutions to the needs of ours. My question to you is…”Do you believe all the problems of yours may be fixed by shooting a pill?” Do you really think that information are available from drugs or do you assume that answers originate from individual responsibility? I guess the actual concern is…”Do you believe in prevention or “cure”?
Apart from the quirky video comparison… What is the perspective of yours as related to health, body, and better living? Does better living originated from better pharmacology? Sure…I guess large numbers of lives are saved from illness, hereditary failures, along with illness. Do we accept responsibility for our conduct which contributes straight to health that is bad and fitness? Are most risk factors for illness lifestyle induced? Even if the newest fat reduction pill did work – Do you find it going to work life long? What exactly are the risks connected with a lot of the most up diet pills? Just about any pill we take has a “side-effect” attached to its use in people that are many. It seems folks are ready to pay essentially anything to get their hands on the latest diet pill, or weight loss gimmick in existence. Far worse – prescription medications are passed out like candy to a large number of countless obese folks. As we all know many of these medications have confirmed to be very dangerous, even deadly.
I think many of the questions and frustrations I get from folks regarding preventative activity, exercise, or fitness, can easily be traced back to one very important and essential question: Are we a cure driven culture or maybe a prevention driven society? Will it make sense that the most up carbo-blocker, fat burner or maybe losing weight pill will reverse years of very poor living? Do you truly assume that the personal responsibility of yours is usually absolved by a pill?
Lets’ take the general model of “dieting” for example: one program works this way, you take a number of pills in the early morning – have a health shake in the evening, chug down another couple of pills by late evening, and eat a boxed, pre-portioned, specialized dinner during the night. OK. – What goes on when you go off this weight loss program? I imagine all of the stunning results just vanish entirely! Of course, they tell you to have this particular product, then that product…then hold the breath of yours for ten seconds while getting up and down…ok…ok, I am getting carried away – I am aware. The point is; in case you have to take the specific pills and perform the special diet you just won’t do it for long – that’s why it’s called a diet program. The name itself assures a person that it is something that you begin and stop! Not any, friends – better existence is not something you begin and stop, it’s a thing you reap some benefits from when you accept responsibility for the proper care of your body and health.
So what is the answer? Effectively, my answer is asking yourself some very important questions.
One; Will you believe that personal responsibility supersedes a cure-all (diet pill)?
