Weight Loss & Diet Pills And Supplements – Gimmicks Or not?

“Take the azure pill…take the white pill…?”… remember the series?

“Take the blue pill…take the red pill…?”… recall the series?

These are the first words uttered… the movie line is taken from The Matrix (1999). The context of the statement is the fact that “Neo” (Keanu Reeves) is living in a world of controlled perception. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), the captain of the “movement” in the movie, alpilean customer reviews (previous) is guiding younger Neo through a crazy ride in “reality” vs. belief. Similar to the film it is my job, as a personal trainer, to guide individuals with a journey in belief.

Even during “real-life” it appears as if we, as depicted in this film, simply assume that taking a tablet can provide us all the solutions to our needs. My question to you is…”Do you believe all your problems could be fixed by capturing a pill?” Do you truly believe that answers are available from pills or even do you assume that answers come from personal responsibility? I guess the actual question is…”Do you have confidence in “cure” or prevention?

Besides the quirky movie comparison… What is your perspective as connected with health and fitness, body, and better living? Does better living originated from much better pharmacology? Sure…I estimate large numbers of lives are saved from illness, genetic failures, and illness. Do we accept responsibility for our conduct which contributes straight to bad health and fitness? Are most risk factors for illness lifestyle induced? Even if the hottest fat reduction pill did work – Can it be going to work life-long? What exactly are the risks connected with a lot of the most up weight loss supplements? Just about any pill we take has a “side-effect” attached to its use in individuals which are many. It seems folks are prepared to pay just about anything to get the hands of theirs on the hottest diet pill, or weight loss gimmick out there. Even worse – prescription drugs are passed out like candy to a huge selection of a huge number of obese folks. As most people know several of these medications have proven to be quite risky, even deadly.

I assume many of the questions and frustrations I get from folks relevant to fitness, exercise, and preventative activity, can certainly be traced to one very important and essential question: Are we a solution driven society or a prevention driven society? Will it make sense that the most up carbo-blocker, fat burner or losing weight pill is going to reverse years of poor living? Do you really think that your individual responsibility can be absolved by a pill?

Lets’ take the normal type of “dieting” for example: one program works this way, you take many pills in the morning – have a nutritional shake in the late afternoon, chug down another couple of pills by late afternoon, and consume a boxed, pre-portioned, specialized dinner at bedtime. OK. – How things go when you are going off this diet program? I speculate all of the stunning results simply disappear! Of course, they tell you to take this particular item, subsequently that product…then hold your breath for 10 seconds while moving up and down…ok…ok, I am getting taken away – I am aware. The point is; in case you have to draw the specific pills and do the particular diet you simply won’t undertake it for long – that’s why it’s called a diet program. The name itself assures a person that it’s something which you start as well as stop! No, friends – better existence isn’t something you start and stop, it is a thing you reap some benefits from when you accept responsibility for the care of your body and health.

So what’s the answer? Well, my answer is asking yourself some vitally important questions.

One; Do you think that personal responsibility supersedes a cure all (diet pill)?
